Probably not if you think a lecture is/should be a recorded performance like a movie. Not sure I agree it is though. Why would that be better than a good book about the subject? Libraries didn't make live lectures obsolete and I am not sure video will either.

Kind of misses the point of unis at all TBF. You don't go to uni for the lectures. You go for the discussion among your peers around a shared topic: learning is an action. It also misses the fact that ideas need infrastructure. That's precisely why specialisation is a thing.
