Again, that wasn't MRAs, at least online. The people going on about star wars movies was one guy on an incel form, really, if memory serves. Though a lot of people made fun of how silly it was for the commander of a rebel group to dye her hair. Which was stupid but nerds do that

The guy who made an edit of the movie with all female leads removed literaly claimed he was MRA and wanted to "defeminist" the movie. The MRA is a backlash to feminism, and that tends to attract a lot of idiots (btw no need to respond now, I know its late)
