Jews are hated for remaining insular and for assimilating. For participating in leftist politics and rightist politics. For being white and being nonwhite. For communism and capitalism. For having a state and (in past) for being stateless. For being strong and for being weak.

First you are wrong. About facts. Second I'm not spending time at this moment on this... because you decided attacking Jews (Jewish custom) is the right way to react to hate at Jews. Doesn't matter if you are jews, you are inappropriate and harmful here. /1

I didn't bring it up. I responded to your claim. I literally quoted the WHO website. I didn't attack Jews.

I didn't bring it up. I responded to the antisemitic blame. Then made one side quick note against the bigotry specifics. I did not open this up to defending the topic when I said this is poor shift to go to... in my reply to him I muted this topic, why is twter still showing me??

I think if you look at the thread, i did a good job of shutting him down. I'm not sure why you re-opened it rather than letting that stand. I assume good motives, but I need to go do other stuff :). (I too am 2G, COS.)

Dig more and that's not the fully position of WHO. There's lots of medical reason to support it. They make that clear. The protect rate is surprising (study ended early so as not to endanger controls.). There's reasons to make it ritual prick. But I'm not interested in the debate
-
I would disagree, having done a good deal of research into the matter. The research supporting it is all rather dodgy and from areas with high rates of HIV (mainly Africa) where they lack education about safe sex practices. Putting that aside, there are other major issues as well
-
The best research I have seen, takes two groups of men circumcises one and doesn't circumcise the other and then checks back to see the rates of HIV. This however has a rather significant issue: you are likely to engage in less sex after having your prepuce cut off.
-
I have not seen any research that does a decent job addressing these issues. Most Western research has rates of HIV contraction that are so low anyways that it is hard to make a medical case for it.
