“Baby-naming ceremony”? bris the Jewish ceremony of circumcision.

Not quite. While part of the some bris ceremonies, the circumcision is separate from the naming and often, the bris is entirely separate from the naming ceremony. The naming more commonly occurs when immersing the child in the Mikveh (similar to a baptism).
