@TeamYouTube is it possible at all for me to change my /c/ custom URL before claiming it? The one that Google picked for me is extremely long, hasn’t been used since 2014 (on G+), and also happens to contain my real name which I don’t want. My old /user/ URL isn’t affected.

It looks like the number of your subscribers is below the eligibility requirement for custom URL: https://yt.be/help/4moa . Please send us a screenshot of the advance settings page of your channel where you're trying to claim the custom URL, we'll look into it further.

When I click on “Customise Channel” (old YouTube), one of the channel tips on the right is “get a new custom URL”. When I click that, it recommends me a pre-set custom URL that I’m apparently eligible for despite being below the 100 subscriber requirement.

I’ll get a screenshot tomorrow and reply with that. Don’t have access to my PC right now.

I'm currently interested in http://youtube.com/c/7pt , although if that's too short I'm happy with http://youtube.com/c/7petey . My current URL is http://youtube.com/user/AwesomeChicken64 …. I'd rather not share the pre-set URL publicly, we can start a DM conversation if you like.

Update – our team checked the channel to make sure that you've met the requirements, and it appears that it didn't pass the subscribers' threshold. In the meantime, you can review the general eligibility needs here: https://yt.be/help/4moa . Hope this helps!

And that’s what I’m confused about. Despite only having 86 subscribers, and the custom URL requiring 100 subscribers, my advanced channel settings has already set one for me to claim. I’m assuming this is an error then?
