Correction: it would seem to have 4-digit analogue capsense, then the trigger also functions as one would expect
It looks like the Knuckles controllers have full 5-digit tracking, 3 of them being capsense...

Right. Current grip buttons suck. These capsense finger sensors will be effortless.

lol I'd hope our users know what their ring finger is. I expect we'll see more analogue content, not requiring specific finger interactions
