In God Of War the camera is like a character in itself. Personally I would have pushed this further and have you build a relationship with the camera person. They could get tired and have you hold the camera for a bit whilst they rest, helping them continue their continuous shot.

Super Mario 64 was lacking these key gameplay features and is a subpar experience because of it

I could see that as a way to transition between first and third person. Beckon to the camera, and it moves to the player's position as if thrown. Throw it back, and as it tumbles it might show the cameraman, desperately struggling to keep up as you walk along a narrow ledge.

Lol I would actually totally love to this in a game. It would be weird but in the right game with the right tone it could be super fun

Between RE7 and Outlast, the "found footage" horror genre is kinda blowing up. I'd have liked to see a cameraman game with a group. Think RE7 crossed with Overwatch or some such.

Who would the third person be? And why would they have a camera in a world without such technology? I mean.. I like the idea of the game being fantasy as it is and the camera just being exactly that.
