This one, like many of your 'examples', is just a temporary animation state. The dog doesn't identify your behavior patterns and has no sense of time. Unlike Fable 2 which was released shortly afterwards.
The creator of fable clapping at Zelda.. that's awesome ;) I miss fable games.
