Presidential alert inspired me today. Imagine a game where every day the best player can send one single message to everyone else playing the game. Could be anything from a poo emoji to a charity donation link.

Sweden kinda did this for a while, by letting a random citizen control their "official" twitter account each week. Each person took advantage of that massive communicative power differently.

in tf2, you can spend 100 real life dollars to send a virtual marriage proposal to another player. if they say yes, everyone sees it. not sure who would drop 100 bucks on a joke, but people have done it
