Just the last one or two, but wouldn’t that feature become more and more tedious over the time? Replay 20 hours of choices doesn’t sound like fun… but it sounds a lot like Peter Molyneux…
-
Okay, but what if it left you at the same point in the game? Just instantly swapped the game state and now you’re playing as if you’d taken all the evil choices the whole way through?
-
Not enough freedom. And instantly choosing the other option wouldn’t work if there is more than two options.
-
What if it plots all your choices out on a node graph, like a tree: as well as in-game undo/redo buttons, you can open up the decision tree and jump to any node you've already traversed.
-
Better solution than replaying 20 hours but some choices may lack context if you have made them long ago.
-
Ok, so, you select a node, the menu closes, you see a (mocked up, LOD'd) rewind effect rolling back your choices really fast, then it fast-forwards up the new branch.
-
It's all compressed into a few seconds, but shows you enough flashes of familiar scenes to recap all you're undoing/redoing. Small changes would be easier to keep track of, but if you want to make big changes, you can.
