RFK Jr started off as a highly effective environmental lawyer for the NRDC. Then he decided he preferred the adoration of being an antivaxx pseudocelebrity. He even kissed Trump's ass for a job. Trump is the antithesis of everything RFK Jr *used* to stand for. He's a hack.

Scientists are trained to analyze, evaluate and explain the evidence. Lawyer are trained to twist the evidence and discredit experts in order to win an argument. RFK Jr is just counting on his litigation experience to outtalk those with actual expertise on the subject.
