The unspoken tragedy of this study was that it never needed to be done in the 1st place. Of course Tdap vaccine does not cause #autism. There's no plausible mechanism by which it would. It's how #antivax lobby diverts autism funds from helping families.https://wapo.st/2MLjXaT?tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.2e73f02dc4e5 …

As a vaccinating pharmacist, I just gave the recommended booster to a pregnant woman last week, and it amazes me still that people would think HCPs would want to give them something that would cause harm.

what has changed in obstetric care in the last 50 years? Folic acid supplementation! excessive folic acid that causes DNA methylation and alters human behavior is causing a lot of this and other damages to us. Food supplementation started in the 80's when autism started to go up

Food supplementation started to be common when pellagra was found to be a niacin deficiency and goiter was linked to lack of iodine. Back in the 1920s and 1940s. DNA methylation? And alters human behaviour? What bizarre fairy tale is that?

Fortunately, it wasn't a terribly expensive study. The researchers just had to have someone output some data that were already in a computer. These database studies are useful for postmarketing surveillance.

Yes there is a plausible mechanism and yes these studies need to be done. Of course participants who were born in later years had an autism evaluation done at an earlier age, resulting in possibly missed diagnoses.
