Baffinland has tracked another cruise ship travelling at excessive speeds near Pond Inlet. The Endurance was sailing at 13 knots. Baffinland vessels are restricted to 9 kn to minimize our impact on marine mammals & communities. Passenger ships are not currently regulated

The first cruise ship of 2022 has arrived in Pond Inlet, travelling at troubling speeds. Baffinland shipping monitors tracked the NG Endurance sailing at 16 knots. Baffinland vessels are limited to 9 knots. Pond Inlet is expecting 19 cruise ships and 7 private yachts this season

Not sure the entire story is being told. As you know , surveys of the Admiralty Inlet summer stock are done each summer and "observed a statistically higher combined stock estimate of narwhal with Eclipse Sound of 75,177 in 2021 compared to the 36,044 in 2020."
