It’s not. We’ve been doing it in the PNW for years. But our electoral vote is very low so the GOP doesn’t care. If you made vote by mail in states like Texas or Ohio they would swing blue. GOP can’t have that. Vote by mail=more blue votes.

I've been voting by mail since the first time I worked a 14 hr day on election day. Wisconsin let me sign up with no reason and defaults to sending me a ballot every election from then on. There's no reason it shouldn't be an option for everyone.
