I’m going to steal this and use it frequently.

Thank you for this message. To desecrate Shabbat, the day of rest, and Passover, a holiday about liberation from oppression, in this way just 6 months after Pittsburgh is beyond devastating. Your moral leadership from the campaign trail matters.
-
I'm sure you're already on this, but make sure to reach out to synagogues in South Bend to check in and to guarantee that the mayor's office and police department has their backs. That matters a great deal in situations like these.

Thank you
@PeteButtigieg for acknowledging my peoples struggle! -
As both a gay man and a Jew, I have faced many hate in my life. Thank you for lending your support! Our nation should never be one to host such hate. It makes me so sad to see this occur in America in 2019. We must act against all hate
-
I was born and raised in this nation. Growing up, I never feared expressing my faith or going to temple. I always felt safe being a Jew in this nation. That has changed the past few years. My family can not even enjoy a holiday without fear of a shooting. It makes me so mad.

Or their own emptiness. Hate often moves in when there is nothing greater that can fill the void.

This is a gussied-up version of "thoughts and prayers." What about the guns, Mayor Pete?
-
He has talked of guns just like Kamala did... I think his message is more than a thoughts and prayers and we have a strong Jewish community here n south bend..I live n one.. our mayor does not tolerate antisemitism... and neither do we.
-
He’s your Mayor? We don’t have anyone with half the talent, smarts or accomplishments. You are so lucky! Would be a bummer to lose him, but good for the country. Maybe you’ll replace him one day?

I never thought that I’d hear stories of shooting down Jews in America. These are the stories of my grandparents fleeing Russia and Bella-Ruse, not America. America is where the oppressed fled to be free. Where do we go now?
