Words. Words. Words. What do you stand for???

listen to the words and understand his values. You want specifics, I get that, but presidents to not write bills. They only sign bills into laws. Better to have 400+ members of congress writing a law according to the presidents values, then 1 president writing a law.
-
Hard pass if that’s your pitch: he talks nice and doesn’t need to give specifics.
-
cherry picking
-
Yes, because we all know the candidate with the most specific policy positions won the last time around. Christ! There is a reason the only two-term Democratic presidents over the past half a century are 42 & 44: men who are good with words. Hope that's specific enough for you.
-
Trumps main policies were building the wall and repealing ObamaCare. Granted, they’re awful proposals but they still show where he stands and what other things he would do
-
Pete never expected that when he announced his *exploratory committee* folks would greet the very *prospect* of his candidacy with such fervor that he's now tied with Biden. Doubtless he's crafting his policies as we speak. It's only April, so for the love of Pete, wait a minute.
-
He has said they will be out in May. Plenty of time for folks to review before the Primaries.

Could you actually add a policy page and stop responding with constant platitudes? Nail down the specifics of what you want, rather than fluctuating from talking point to talking point. At first I actually liked the your candidacy, but at this point it is becoming a joke.
-
Just to respond to the person who called me a bot and blocked me, while I support Andrew Yang, I didn't even bring him up here. My support for his candidacy has nothing to do with the fact that Pete's inability to say anything concrete is incredibly disconcerting/disappointing.
-
Yang has no shot.
-
1. When you break down the data, it is possible, albeit incredibly unlikely. 2. You can support a candidate on principle, even if they don't win. 3. As I said, my support for Yang has absolutely nothing to do with my concerns about Pete's failure to produce a detailed platform.
-
Pete is releasing detailed policies in May. The primaries are a year away, he’s trying to get people on board with the big picture and the overall narrative. He also emphasized at the town hall last night that he’s very aware of of this concern and the policies will come soon.
-
That is what I like to hear! I am excited to see those proposals, and I hope they are sufficiently detailed. Even if I have disagreements, I will feel far more comfortable voting for him if I know where he stands on issues on more than a baseline level.
-
Me too. What scares me is that so many people have the mindset that those of us who love policy positions and detailed plans are really critical. Noooooo. The voters who put Trump over the top are the people who need to be motivated by ideas not powerpoints.

Winning an era = saving democracy. Saving our democracy is at issue. I hope that is stated more frequently and resonates with the electorate.
-
We should win the era by offering the best solutions to real life problems.
-
We have to do both. Dems have to walk & chew gum at the same time... it’s an uphill battle but a mountain worth climbing.
-
Circling back and agreeing. I'm a big fan of walking and chewing gum at the same time. In all seriousness, yes to all of the above needs to be done!

I need free healthcare if I'm going to survive the era, thanks
-
Fair enough. However half a million people would need new jobs if we suddenly stopped private insurance. There needs to be a transition.
-
People will still need secondary insurance. I worked in the health field for many years. Insurance companies not Doctors determine patients plans. Not right. Insurance companies run the health field and they are profit based only
-
Which is the main issue with people griping about this: "public healthcare"/"medicare for all" is just there to get everyone "basically" covered.....
-
If you have enough money, you'd still have the option to pay for "better" coverage, the uber-rich will still have their avenues to get "gold-plated" care. So, the people blocking this, basically just want to keep a big ol' thumb on the bottom 80-90% more than anything else.
-
The best healthcare is possibly the cheapest but requires more work. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" meaning if you can prevent a health issue it costs 1/16th the price of treating the health issue.
