I don’t want to change the channel. I want to cancel my cable and binge Buttigieg on Netflix.

I kind of already do this except YouTube instead of Netflix

I KNOW ME TOO!!! Sorry for the shouting. But the man is compulsively watchable and what do I do when I’m not watching? I read his damn book! ;-) Seriously tho—this young man has much to say, and I’m old enough to be his mom. But he does remind me of Barack Obama in 2006 or ‘07.
-
I loved President Obama! However,
@PeteButtigieg offers something more. It’s a combination of sincerity, honesty, intelligence, likability, and an uncanny ability to explain his reasoning behind his plans and beliefs. He served his country and most importantly, he’s humble. -
What I’m saying is that President Obama had all those qualities as well—he, too, was sincere and honest and intelligent and all those things. My point is that he struck a chord with people who were craving those things after all those years of Bush/Cheney lies. And Obama WON.

This tweet says nothing.

I’m sorry. In this situation “channel” refers to a desire by the public to see a new president. It’s a metaphor. He’s implying that he should be the new “channel” that America switches to. I know it can get confusing when politicians use nuance and ‘politician speak’
#here2help -
The problem is that Pete is full of metaphors and rhetoric. No actionable plans... ie. no issues section on his website...
-
It’s early yet. I know this twitter world demands instant gratification, but he just announced. Let it simmer and build. The DNC is not tomorrow. We’ve got time.
-
No plans even after an formal announcement? In my opinion and especially given the urgency of the issues at hand and him being a public official for years... it is unacceptable. It calls into question to me what people are actually supporting... literally just rhetoric.
-
Not true! Everyday he’s revealing new policy plans in Iowa. Childcare tax credit is one example of a policy he spoke about yesterday. There are a couple more he just discussed at a town hall yesterday. If I find the transcripts that were on Twitter yesterday, I’ll post for you.
-
Proposals come in writing. Looking forward to reviewing his plans.
-
Me too and many other people. But, I watched him explain on tv that his campaign plan is to introduce his values first and then policies.
He’s still in values mode but I’m glad to see him moving toward the policies now. We aren’t a very patient society, lol. - 2 more replies

Absolutely. If only we could get
@SpeakerPelosi to see this as Impeachment worthy. The America I love demands action.#MuellerReport#BarrCoverUp#TrumpCrimeFamilyMustGo -
Don’t want Pence as president!
-
That can't stop us.
-
The Catch 22 here is, Trump needs to go. But if he does, Pence then becomes president. If he does, that will be all the validation Republicans need in order to guarantee a win in 2020 and then we will have four more years of a homophobic, pro-conversion therapy Evangelical.
-
Wait. How would that secure 2020?
#Pence is unpopular & terrible at debates. Most likely another would win GOP primary. And GOP is unpopular. Trump won for 3 reason. Hype, rule-bending & Hillary. IMHO we would secure the win if Trump (or Hillary) wasn't on the ticket. - 1 more reply
