Do Facebook users read newspapers? For a lot it's their main source of news. Why not just pin this apology to everyone's feed?

User growth is in an older demographic. They still read papers. He lost younger people years ago.

Just think that if Facebook wanted to genuinely apologize to their users, they could have reached every one of them for free. Using print media to reach digital media users seems strange

It's called an Integrated Marketing Mix. Regardless of what a digital marketing agency might tell you, traditional channels such as radio, TV and print, still perform well. To promote your message effectively, you utilise a mix of appropriate channels for your demographics.

From a print newspaper perspective, a paper is unlikely to turn down full page advertising from FB, why would they? All newspapers use FB to promote their own content through pages and sponsored posts, so it's not like there's bad blood there
