#BREAKING: The City of Montreal has declared a state of emergency due to rising floodwaters in numerous boroughs.https://trib.al/h1pT52r
Thank you! The houses there are old enough but also the communities that are being flooded have been there for hundreds of years! These floods are 1 in a 100 years event, but now it has happened twice in 3 years... You can't just blame this on the people living there

I live about 10 minutes away from one of flooded areas and it's horrible.
-
In 2017, I lived just a small road away from the Deux-Montagnes lake, so I know how you feel
-
It's what makes it hard for me to understand people who deny climate change. Some of the house on the water edge in Montreal are hundreds of years old, and never had flooding. Then twice in 3 years
-
Soooo, the one a hundred years ago was climate change?
-
No what I said was in hundreds of years there were never flooding, and now twice in 3 years it has been bad flooding and previous few years has been very high levels
-
As recent as 1987 Montreal flooded. Want me to check more history or do you want to just pretend your climate change does not ignore earth’a past?
-
That was not a flood from overflowing rivers, but from a storm.Climate change has been happening for a while, look at summers in Mtl. As a kid in the early 90s a small fan was enough to sleep peacefully, now a large floor fan and ceiling fan and it is still to hot and humid
