Just seems like so much hassle and sometimes the colour layer mode can make things look pale so it's a lot of messing about with layer modes

My Sylvanas painting started as grey scale, the one thing I noticed is that my paint strokes look more softer when painting in grey.
this is soo true !Like it’s very hard to get this true color you’ve chosen without not messing with grayscale and redrawing it! I guess grayscale it’s very nice for the first part like just getting composition first and basic shadows/values !Btw your sylv painting is gorgeous
