The artist Artgerm has an amazing video on applying colours onto grey scale. Summary applying gradient map on grey scale image, use "colour" , "multiply", "soft light" layer modes on a layers above. Mess around until you get the look you like

Ahh idk coloring grayscales is a bigger problem for me than actually doing the whole piece in color! i tried already some tutorials but it feels like sticking colors onto done values. But thank you very much for recommending it! Always looking forward to learning new tricks!

No problem, I'm trying to understand values more myself and fine tune my painting. Though I'm trying out painting over grey scale I feel like I just want to paint in colour only lol
