The artist Artgerm has an amazing video on applying colours onto grey scale. Summary applying gradient map on grey scale image, use "colour" , "multiply", "soft light" layer modes on a layers above. Mess around until you get the look you like

Ahh idk coloring grayscales is a bigger problem for me than actually doing the whole piece in color! i tried already some tutorials but it feels like sticking colors onto done values. But thank you very much for recommending it! Always looking forward to learning new tricks!

People always say it's 'easy' Easy my ass i have yet to find a fucking way how to do it properly. Imo its HARDER tgan just working w color and colortheory

I would say it is easy for me since you’re dealing only with values and if you do have basic knowledge on values it’s not a big problem. Colors are problematic since things you deal with undertones, surroundings and choosing the right color which is valued properly.
