What if it's "bad" in a Michael Jackson kinda way? Do you read those too?

Have spent the last 36 hours trying to tell people the same thing. I've heard 'this is a democracy', 'you put yourself out there you deserve criticism' and 'it could improve the writer/creator'. The arrogance is astounding. Like a drunk passenger yelling tips at a airline pilot.
-
There are political movements devoted to this kind of impoliteness. What a wretched world.

There's insults (which are useful to no-one) and constructive criticism. Unfortunately most people don't know the difference. There are ways of presenting an opinon without upsetting the creator, and usefull dialogues can stem from it.
-
The constructive criticism however already comes from editors, publishers, collaborators, others involved in the writing process, family, should not come from randos on the internet.

Here’s a good review: I love all your work. It’s rare for me to find an author where every piece of content I find enjoyable, but you’ve done it. Chalk, London Falling, Lychford, British Summertime, and of course your comics, Action, Captain Britain, Demon Knights, etc.

Why people do this, I just don't understand. It's pointless, cruel and a form of passive abuse.
-
You've hit the nail on the head, some people live to abuse others & think dressing it up "criticism" legitimises that behaviour.
