Another dry week across most of England. River flows decreased at over three-quarters of indicator sites and over half are lower than normal for the time of year. Running out time to winter-fill

If in the process of growing OSR, wheat, peas, beans & other crops & you kill pidgeons, crows & other pests do you have to declare, ‘unsuitable for vegans’ on that produce?

How much greenhouse gas is produced to get Almond milk and avocado on to Packham's self-promoting breakfast table? Greenhouse gasses produced by Cambridgeshire bees to get honey onto my breakfast table? Obviously enormous and endangering the planet.

I don’t understand why a farmer who has behaved in such a deplorable way, tarnishing the reputation of farmers countrywide should be privileged with anonymity and a mere caution

Great praise from Conference on the AHDB Horizon report series which looks at some of the issues that will be critical in shaping the agri-food sector following Brexit.

Anyone else thinking the ground is drying out again? Ditches empty, drains not running and no rain forecast till at least the middle of the month. If nothing changes we’ll be going into Spring with serious moisture deficits. 🌵☀️

DYK? The US imports 4,000,000,000 avocados annually, particularly from Mexico and South American countries, where natural forests make space for plantation trees. I have never heard anyone complaining about avocados destroying forests at massive scale.
