    My blue plaque caused a bit of a stir with the visitors , great to meet you and glad you found it funny !

    There was a BRILLIANT surprise awaiting me when I went for my backstage tour of today. Volunteer and reader Jan Robinson had created this spoof heritage plaque showing where my fictional character - Fred Walker - is found dead in my first Morecambe bay trilogy :-)

    First in 16 months andy second Morecambe parkrun. Last time I did this, Fran had a fry-up in the hotel and took photos at the finish line. This time she ran it with me :-)

    I haven't written any new fiction since November 2020 but I got 5k first-draft words of First To Die down today after far too many months of having fun in Spain. It's a relief to back in my chair, and I'm up to my ears in (fictional) mysteries and mayhem already :-)

    After far too much galavanting around, there's nothing like paying for your new book covers and committing to your titles to make sure you get the writing done. I may even set up a pre-order date to raise the stakes. This little lot needs to be written by end of November :-)

    Casting the final Morecambe Bay trilogy - I love this part of the process, coming up with the names and character traits of people who will appear in the stories. I've also got the e-book covers ordered now the titles are confirmed :-)

    A day at sea today, sailing from Altea to Benidorm Island and back, stopping for swimming at the island and close to Albir Lighthouse. First time I've been out in a yacht - I also managed a splash in the sea :-)
