Crystal Palace did lead to an increase in the popularity of glasshouses in UK, but no relationship to its design. Probably railway inspired.

I absolutely love this project! Maybe we could extend it to include Rollox, where the steam trains were built?

Glad you like it! :) Luckily most of the St. Rollox site is still an active railway maintenance workshop. The rest is a Tesco and Costco.

The winter gardens were paid for by the reid famiy for springburn park. It was ran down under a labour council. Its not your project ,eejit
