I absolutely wasn't the only person warning about any of this. We've been talking about this since 2010 or so—started after Obama 08.
So I don't buy the idea that we were all blindsided by 2016. Nobody can forecast exact futures—but the worrisome dynamics were identified.

I'm going on about it because "this was unforeseeable" opens way to denying responsibility & accountability. Broad outline was pretty clear.
Plus it almost makes it sound like nature, there's nothing can be done to stop it, when we know there are techniques that can at least limit
