Republicans hate "cancel culture" and love "the invisible hand of the market" which is weird because they're the exact same thing

They are pretty much opposites. Cancel culture is saying diversity (of opinion) is bad. Markets are about saying a (properly functioning) market combined diverse things (ideas, companies, countries, etc) to produce something better than could be done too down
Nah. Legitimate criticism of bad/harmful opinions (what you call "cancel culture") ≠ "diversity of opinion bad." It just means that some opinions are bad and harmful. Do you honestly believe there are no opinions deserving of criticism?
