Some people choose not to have kids because it's too expensive.

I may be off the mark, but my impression is child care often costs more than minimum wage. Plus if you take the bus to work how are you going to drop the kid off? bus a to station, b to child care, c to station d to work and reverse at night?

Childcare shouldn't be the government's responsibility. For responsible parents, having a child is a choice. So too should taking care of and raising that child, not the tax payers.

How can we support parents to be content to raise their children, to care for their own children? Looking after our babies and toddlers is a privilege, a joy - it seems to have become a problem to solve. All the best
