President Trump has taken steps to sabotage health care, made it harder for people to get Medicaid—which helps provide treatment for opioid addiction—and has proposed dramatic cuts to drug control offices and programs designed to promote evidence-based treatments.
Congress has been making solid, bipartisan progress and providing more resources to states fighting the opioid epidemic—we need the Administration to do its part too and help put that money to good use in ways that actually have an impact.
