I'm calling on current, former, and future students and their families to share personal stories about what they think Congress should tackle when it comes to higher education. Share your story here: HigherEdStories2018@help.senate.govpic.twitter.com/TAchoeJtfl

More emphasis on trade/tech schools for kids exiting HS w/diploma. Retrain ex-Kaiser employees or other lost industry workers. Lower costs👍

Get the government out of higher education. Stop subsidizing it. Let people pay from their own higher education if they want a higher education. If a job requires it they can pay tuition of their employees partial or full. Or provide the requisite training themselves.

tackle all this student debt and we'll see 4% GDP growth as millenials start buying homes and other things they can't afford because of loan payments

Students should be able to chose more pre-degree programs or be able to get their associates/undergrad/certificate thur high school if they finish all required credits. Expand career centers & programs. So there are better prepared adults. Bc some of them r, w/ kids.

Quit loaning out money that won't get repaid! It shackles the students and taxpayers, and allows colleges to keep raising costs.

I graduated with no school debt. I paid my wife's small debt (1970's). My 4 children had little or no debt (which is paid off). They all worked hard during school & after. It's very possible. But you have to make good choices.

Specifically capping tuition, more pell grants and financial aid, free community college and avoiding the public funding of private institutions.

It ain't right to cut off orphans from social security and health care on the day they turn 18, it wasn't that way when I was a kid, but the AFSCME only cares about government employees, not kids who have lost everything. Read in the bible, Ruth.
