What is the problem with students paying their college loans back. I paid my own after college. I didn't ask for my debt to be forgiven. That's like buying a new car & after a couple of years demanding the lender write off the rest of the debt because I got in over my head!

And how much did it cost you in comparison to all living expenses and income. The costs of university have risen 100s of percent. To say do n’t go if you can’t afford it degrades the nation over-all, now and in the future. I’m old too. And my experience is like yours.
