why dont we fix that rule so that all workers get minimum wage and "tipped workers" aren't stiffed at $2.13 /hr

There's a reason servers make more than the back of house. Servers and most tip workers put up w/a lot of shit. The only reason people are willing to do the job, is the money. People aren't going to serve, making min wage. I'd rather work fast food.

Carry cash and hand the tip to the wait staff seperate from the bill. Don't put it on you charge card and don't leave it on the table.

Wait staffs already work hard & are under paid in almost all cases.These same greedy employers use wait staff at a sub standard minimum wage.They are expected to get tips for their wages, yet they are used as housekeepers&maintenance tasks they are not tipped for. By design.
