I’m shocked and appalled by Senator Franken’s behavior. It’s clear to me that this has been a deeply harmful, persistent problem and a clear pattern over a long period of time. It’s time for him to step aside.

Respecting women as equals and not as objects is critical. Sexual harassment, or assault, or in any way using your power to demean women cannot be tolerated. I want my colleagues, my staff, my constituents, and especially my granddaughters to know that is not acceptable.

I am a woman, and I say NO! If Franken needs to step aside, POTUS needs to step aside, too. I think Franken deserves an ethics investigation. Unless you know of stronger, more current accusations, or pay offs, then I think your call for his resignation is premature.

Even though he has exhibited poor behavior, Franken has been a big advocate of women’s rights. He’s a strong smart convincing voice fighting for us in Congress. And he has shown remorse and understanding of the inappropriateness of his past behavior.

I am trying to not get my hopes up about anything. I’m already too disappointed in some of my fellow citizens. So, when something “good” happens, I’m extra pleased.

He apologized...she accepted..he admits his behavior was inappropriate..he did not call her a liar or threaten to sue..he welcomes ethics review..A man can learn and change....

Believe me, this in no way, is a rationalization...but R there degrees of behaviour that's inappropriate? I'm not condoning any form of bad behaviour. There's stupid-no malice intended, all the way 2 criminal- extreme malice intended. It's a question only.

100% agree.
@PattyMurray has been silent on issues crucial to our Republic. There's no moral high ground when it comes to condemning criminal conspiracies or child molestation.
