Why do you want to stop the economy in it's tracks? That's what Pres. Obama did with his massive bailouts and giveaways. If the government would stop buying crap we don't need, they could cut everybody's taxes, and the econony would soar.

What Repubs did was MUCH WORSE than that. They betrayed the principle of American self-governance through representation in the United States Senate. Democrats were NOT represented by participation in constructing legislation that will affect all of us. The House is next.

I'm middle class and my taxes will do down. I never have enough deductions to itemize. Doubling the standard deduction will cut my taxes. Great news!

Also, your neighbors will no longer be able to afford advanced degrees so research and innovation will move elsewhere. Goodbye industry and the local monies that come with it! Of course this is a bit speculative....what was voted on hasn't be studied in full.

Advanced degrees? For price of a student loan, in cash, you can buy any degree you want but can you put that book knowledge to productive work? McDonald's doesn't count...
