That’s odd. My husband and I figured child care costs into our budget before we had kids so we could afford it. We had no more kids than we could afford. But that’s just us. We believe in personal responsibility. It’s a lost trait, apparently.

You know, if we weren’t paid starvation wages, we might be able to afford childcare without government “help”. Then there’s all the insurance and pharma money you take. Literally food out of your constituents mouths. We get underpaid, so corporations can buy your vote.

I have a BS from UW-Madison in Early Childhood and Kindergarten education. When I went to apply for jobs in Early Childhood I could not believe that the pay was a few dollars above minimum wage. A few dollars! Thank you for putting a spotlight on this issue.
