Too late. Medicare began in 1966. Private health insurance was a rarity as most people self payed and kept their health care OUT of the hands of politicians.

That is what Obama care did, didn’t get to keep my plan nor my doctor, keep politics out of health care completely, no government run health care at all!

And what of medical providers who do not wish to harm an unborn child? Once upon a time the goal of medical providers was to heal and protect life not end it. I’d argue that’s still the case and someone who sees good in ending the life of an unborn child is not a medical provider
