It never covered the bills. It’s literally a racket. Car insurance, home insurance, and medical insurance never cover anything. Its always some clause or excuse why the coverage doesn’t cover that accident, or that Kind of weather event, or that prescription. Primaried patty

Except if his heart attack happened 2 years ago, and they had bought the plan a year before that- that was well before the Aug 2018 introduction of nonqualified short-term plans. And people are ultimately responsible for what they buy.

This article is misleading, in this case they were able to get an insurance plan through the ACA more affordably. Many people can’t though, they don’t qualify and insurance from the ACA without a subsidy is very expensive. Short term plans are weak but there are better options
