In response to the gun violence epidemic, communities in Washington state and across the country have banded together to make their voices heard and press for change—but Leader McConnell and President Trump continue to stand in the way.
President Trump and Leader McConnell continue to make clear they’re more interested in protecting the NRA than families.
This is simply unacceptable—and @SenateDems are not going to stop calling for action.
We must keep lifting up our voices to demand change. It won’t be easy—but I’m not giving up, & I know there are many more across our nation who aren’t giving up either. Let's pass universal background checks so we can finally begin to put a stop to this terrible, deadly cycle.
Sadly, I think the GOP doesn’t want this to come to a vote, because they will have to go on record on how they voted. They have no spine.
