In WA state parents have no rights to their kids healthcare after 13 anyways. In WA a child of ANY AGE is allowed to get an abortion, or get treated for an STD or mental illness w/o parents knowledge but our insurance can send us a blank bill we have to lays. #glorifiedbabysiters

When you're 21 you're an adult and should be responsible for your own care. I took that responsibility upon myself when I was 18.

Many people are married and have children by the time they turn 26. Do their parents STILL have to cover them? The court system considers 18-year-olds adults.

How many young adults over the of 18 can afford their own health insurance? I know mine can’t. Plus what about kids who have major health issues and rare diseases (like my kid)? Eliminating pre-existing conditions would be like driving a nail into the coffin!
