.@senatemajldr should start by bringing up the bipartisan universal background checks bill to a vote in the Senate—legislation that could save lives by closing dangerous loopholes to help keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them.
But we shouldn't stop there. Congress should also:
Strengthen Extreme Risk Protection Orders
Revive the assault weapons ban
Invest in gun violence prevention research
Limit firearm magazines sizes
I want to be clear: passing universal background checks must be the Senate's first order of business if we’re serious about protecting people and helping to keep guns out of the wrong hands.
@SenateDems and I will keep up the pressure as long as we have to, to get it done.
Cleaning up the gun show scene and its weapons of mass destruction for sale practices would be a big help.
@senatemajldr refuses to do ANYTHING to HELP citizens of the US & EVERYTHING he can possibly do to HURT 
He won't. He's using the excuse of only bringing bills the president will support to the floor. As if wide public support on background checks, and representing citizens, couldn't be done by a veto override. He's deflecting his responsibility. @senatemajldr
