.@senatemajldr should start by bringing up the bipartisan universal background checks bill to a vote in the Senate—legislation that could save lives by closing dangerous loopholes to help keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have them.

I want to be clear: passing universal background checks must be the Senate's first order of business if we’re serious about protecting people and helping to keep guns out of the wrong hands.
