I've just seen that the US Gov (De Vos (sp)) is refusing to honor a bipartisan agreement to pay off student loans to those teachers who have paid for 10 yrs whilst in 'service'. What hope has an 'only passed by one house' bill really got?! (v)

People should be able to decide for themselves how much of their time & effort they're willing to trade for whatever wages they like. There is no reason the government should be involved at all. Plus, take a look at places where this has been done: are those the results you want?
