I’ll keep fighting to protect Social Security from Republicans’ continued attempts to gut the program and pull the rug out from under everyone who is counting on the benefits they were promised.

FDR's administration was also riddled with communists. From it's inception Social Security was nothing more than a tax in disguise, Government made a promise to keep those funds separate, then took the money. And no, the best program to lift people out of poverty is a job.
