$15.00 an hour is not quite $31,000.00 a year. After taxes it’s less. In the Seattle area, a studio apartment can cost between $1890 - $2000.00. Think about it; it leaves about $7000.00 a year to buy elec., water, food, transportation, clothes, medical care, etc. Try doing it!
The Senate must act now to truly make a difference for working families and pass legislation to raise the federal minimum wage. This would give millions of people, especially women, a much deserved raise so they can support themselves and their families. #RaiseTheWage

Do you realize how many jobs will be lost & the businesses destroyed? Just think of all the restaurants (e.g. Burger King, McDonalds, Jack in the Box, Taco Time, Taco Bell, KFC, IHOP, Red Robin). No one would be able to afford the price hikes to eat at these businesses.
