A Republican victory in this court case could leave patients and families with fewer protections and higher bills—patients like 15-year-old Lily from Gig Harbor, WA. Lily lives with cystic fibrosis and has thousands of dollars worth of medical expenses each month.
Republicans are arguing in court today that instead of protecting people with pre-ex conditions, like Lily, insurance companies should be able to discriminate against them by charging more, excluding benefits, or denying coverage completely. That's absolutely not acceptable.
I’m not going to stop fighting for families like Lily’s, pushing for common sense steps that help people get quality, affordable health care, or pushing Republicans to work with Democrats to #ProtectOurCare.
