I guess this is an accurate statement if, by "a while" you're speaking geologically. What we have already done, and will do before reducing greenhouse gasses back to 1970's levels will kake centuries, if not a millenia or more....and, only if we start today, which we can't.

The fact that most replying here conflate "weather" with "climate", and fail to see how "frequency" and "severity" alter the way climatologists view historic abnormal weather events clearly illustrates the near futility of acting on GCC before it's too late to mitigate much of it
