Why not permanent regular time? What is so special about making our sundials an hour off, forever? Surely, we should look at shifting work & school hours, rather than arguing with the Earth’s rotation?

Eliminate DST entirely, Patty. Currently, we're out of synch with the rest of this time zone 6 months out of the year. Don't put us out of synch *permanently*!
