Terrible idea. It will not get light until 9 am in Seattle in December. Bad for people with seasonal depression, bad for high school kids’ grades, bad for nurses, bankers, and others who will now arise many hours before dawn.

So much for repairing our Infrastructure when prevented from starting road work until 9:AM in the winter due to darkness and off the road by 3:00PM for traffic.

Thanks for pushing this along. The whole insane business of changing clocks every few months has been counterproductive.

Seems like the lower 48 states have to go all in on DST. Can you imagine going across country where each state has a different time? That would be like going back to the 1800s before the railroads forced the nation to standardize time. All or nothing (except Arizona of course).

Who thinks the sun should be directly overhead at 1pm by definition? Because that's what you're proposing and that's ridiculous. If you don't like changing the clock, at least stop changing it when it's correct.
