So you want to go back to the process that over 130 judges have said are unfair? Where students are expelled despite evidence in their favor, like video, dna, & even the 'victim' saying there was no assault? Are you against basic fairness?

It's unfortunate that DeVos wants to do to all of American education what she did to education in Michigan. Be very, very scared. Never a teacher, never an administrator, never a custodian, never a school bus driver. She's running our Dept. of Ed.pic.twitter.com/UslBx0TBhC

Restoring due process and protecting survivors is great but really too late for those involved. Since alcohol/drugs appear to be a leading contributing factor in reported sexual assault what have you done to help reform college campus culture?

A good elementary school teacher (who might be fired by the DeVos) asks the children: What would the world be like if there were no rules? Everyone would laugh and cheer, including the teacher. Then they would be asked to use their brains and imagine seriously what would ensue.

Senator Murray I will call your office Tues. I have always supported public schools but in the last three years I have a reason to have major concerns and based on the valid reports. Many parents are preferring home schools, charter schools, etc... we have boots on the ground!

If you had the Clinton, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr. FBI with the old school rules to investigate then the behavior from the Administrative level on down would regardless of school from pre-k to collegiate levels would adapt guidelines that would regulate such behaviors zero favoritism

School authorities are obligated to provide certain assurances of protection but it is up to the student to report assults to the local authorities.

Schools should be required to turn all reports over to the local authorities and not handing it in house where the accused are denied due process and subject to double jeopardy. Schools have the equal responsibility to protect the rights of both the accused and the accusers.
